Greg is a highly talented producer from a drumming and programming background who has gained respect from the cream of the Welsh music community for his warm production and lush arrangements and cut his teeth with several major artists. He also set up the Boobytrap label in November 2000. Greg produced the latest Manic Street Preachers album "Life Blood" released in November, including the No.2 single "The Love of Richard Nixon". He also worked with INME on their single "Faster The Chase". He has spent several weeks working on projects out in New Zealand over the past year where he has been highly in demand by many of the key record labels. Greg produced the Manic Street Preachers "Freedom of Speech Won't Feed My Children" and "Royal Correspondent" from the "Know Your Enemy" album. He engineered tracks from "This Is My Truth..." album including the single "You Stole The Sun" and he co"produced the recent single "There By The Grace Of God" from their "Forever Delayed" album. He is now producing tracks on their new album. He produced new tracks for Tetra Splendour for EMI Chrysalis and recent INME tracks, mixed a hit for Cosmic Rough Riders and produced The Kennedy Soundtrack "Wrong Day" single as well as an album for new Spank Records signings The Relatives that has received great reviews. He has also worked with Mo-Ho-Bish-O-Pi, 60 Ft Dolls, Gorkys, Big Leaves and Lost Prophets. Greg has also been working on new artists for the Boobytrap
label: Small Victories, El Goodo, Zabrinski and Cubare, plus an album for The
Afternoons for FF Vinyl/3MV. Further back, he produced a Catatonia track from
the "International Velvet" album and the Super Furry Animals "Guacamole" from
the "Outspaced" album plus 3 tracks from the "Mwng" album including the single "Ysbeidiauheulog".
Greg recorded and mixed the soundtrack for the 2001 film "Beautiful Mistake"
with John Cale featuring collaborations with the Manics, James Dean Bradfield,
Catatonia, Super Furry Animals, Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, Derrero and others. Greg
worked as a musician on the 3 million selling Tom Jones album "Reload" and as a
MD on the "Voices of a Nation" concert in Cardiff Bay featuring Jones and
other major Welsh artists and actors. He produced and co-wrote the song "The Ten
Commandments Of Bart" from the Simpsons' "Yellow" album (he co-wrote the track
with 'Simpsons' creator Matt Groening). Greg produced two Derrero albums
including the "Fixation With Long Journeys", along with the "Radar Intruder",
"Unstraightforwardtune" and "Small Pocket Machine" EPs. He produced the
"Commemoration & Amnesia" album by Patrick Jones released on the Big Noise
label. This featured Patrick's poetry set to music written for the album by
members of Catatonia, Super Furry Animals, Manic Street Preachers, Spiritualized
amongst others. Greg also produced music for Patrick's play "Unprotected Sex"
with James Dean Bradfield. Greg is now involved in PYNCI (Promoting Youth
Networks in the Cultural Industries) scheme where he advises on and produces
some of the best new talent emerging from his home country of Wales. In 2003
Greg spoke at the By:Larm seminar near Oslo and the Resonate seminar in New
Zealand where he was invited to talk about his extensive project history,
production techniques and knowledge of the music industry.
